Mad Jym of Loop Guru got married !
15th November 2002

A most extra ordinary event took place in County Donegal, Ireland on 15th November 2002. Jym of Loop Guru, Psychic TV, Headbutt and Slipper married the contemporary dancer Chantal McCormick, in an explosive ceremony that gave a new meaning to the Irish 'craic'

Sam Dodson and Linda Finger of Loop Guru/Slipper were also present, Sam, surprising all, looking rather dapper in a mourning suit as the Grooms Man. Sam did manage to put down the baby but never the Guinness !

Amongst the gathered throng were Hammi Lee & Tim Whelan of Transglobal Underground, Ashley of Headbutt and Project Dark,.. The wonderful and outrageous Dj Stah and Dj Ting Aling. But non rivalled the bride and groom who were dresse in silver from top to toe.

After the Church ceremony the 300 guests flocked to the Boscoe Centre in Donegal for the wedding party, Including speeches and the cutting of the cake, there was a cabaret from Andy performing with an angle grinder to detach his metal penis.

All danced to a traditional Irish ceilidh three piece from Dublin discovered by Jym on a visit to Dublin.

Sam, Linda and Jym performed tunes from Loop Guru, Slipper and Thaw, joined by Hammi, Tim and Ashley. Chantal also got up on stage and danced like the devil (its her party and she can do what she wants to!). All this was capped by a debut singing performance from Spider, aged three and eleven twelfths. All were on top form helped by the Guinnness. And the fantastic atmosphere.

Jym and Chantal will take their honeymoon at a later date. They are at the moment performing in County Cork until December and then both off to Amsterdam for more performance dance.
