Sam Dodson of Loop Guru has just joined WEAPONS OF MASS BELIEF.
He has been strangely found rehearsing!! Having already succesfully stormed The
Verge and The Borderline,
The Weapons play the Dublin Castle in Camden on Sunday 23rd of June
at 8.30.
This gig is the performance before their debut on The Avalon Stage at Glastonbury
Fest on Saturday the 28th at 6.30
Via an intricate web of explosive beats, quirky breaks and perineum-pulsing bass,
Weapons transplant inimitable rap, fuzzy rock guitars, bursts of scratch static and
wacky sonic glitches: they're like a malfunctioning I-POD loaded with Rage Against
the Machine, Massive Attack, Garbage and the Beastie Boys
- only with all the fragments falling in the right place.
The collision of a sharp-tongued rap trio and Luis' unearthly vocals, glued together
with a rockin' infantry of wily musicians from different parts of the globe, naturally
arrests ears that love alchemy in music and electric energy.
Whether it's the dark trip-hop or the riff-spiked punk rap that you dig, the outrageous
wordplay or the hauntingly intimate songs, you're just as likely to be singing along
to an epic chorus at a Weapons' gig as bouncing to the dirty sounds of mashed up
hip-hop.
DROP THE W.O.M.B. !
Weapons of Mass Belief - Where orchestral hip hop, riff-spiked punk rap and
unearthly melodies rock togheter! |
