Gravity and Henry : New Signing !
........................................................................................................................................................

With huge pleasure, Mechanism is proud to announce the signing of USA based act "Gravity and Henry" from Portland, Oregon.

With just two members, Gravity and Henry is probably the world's smallest five-piece rock band.
Gravity and Henry is guitarist and singer Matt Sheehy and drummer Jarhid Brown.

The band released an awesome debut album in 2001 titled "Pisces" recorded between Portland and Los Angeles and produced by themself and Usa producer George Bryson. The album quickly reached the enthusiastic consense of music critic and a vast audience.

Using a line six sampler, Matt is able to digitally record and then instantly replay guitar passages on stage, looping musical phrases to build layers of music to complement his vocals parts and Jarhid poly-rhythhmic drumming trades heaviness as the songs demand, creating the illusion that he has four arms and four legs. Not surprisingly, ex-Soundgarden (and semi-local Tone Dogs) drummer Matt Cameron crops up as a Jarhid influence.

"Matt Chamberlain, Matt Cameron, local Portland guys - Mark Blanding (Greater Than Five), Jim Maddox (All Star Fidelity)," Jahrid opines. "There are just too many".

Matt cities Don Caballero, Ian Mac Kaye, local artist John Self, "and, of course, George Bryson from back home" as his influences.

The band has played the Pacific Northwest area for past year and half and is currently working on a new album to be recorded during next months.

If you want hear something fresh, powerful and melodic,...don't miss this great new band on Mechanism, more news coming soon....keep connected !!!
