MECH004CD - ADDAMANERA "ADDAMANERA" EP RELEASE DATE : 05 MARCH 2001 ADDAMANERA is a typical sicilian dialet expression. Addamanera is a mix of chamber music, psychedelism, ipnotic electronica, tribal percussion and lyrics in archaic sicilian. From the meeting between 2 classical musicians 1 electronic alchemist and an archaic music researcher, all with a common interest into improvvisation and ambient sounds, born ADDAMANERA and their self title first EP. A mixture of subliminal textures, fascinating lyrics, counterpoint, melancholy, in a total absence of preprogrammed rythmics or samples. A rare expression of modern interaction between past and future. An elegant synthesis between ancient music research and future sounds explorations. The band have a really intense live activity, with over 40 dates only during last summer tour, and was been under the spotlights of italian national TV RAI1 during the 2001 edition of TELETHON the italian annual most famous 3 days TV marathon to benefit the research against multiple sclerosis. The line up feature : Daniele Calandra : Vocals and FX Guitar Ulisse Mazzagatti : Classical and Acoustic Guitars Fabio D'Andrea : Synth Nino Latella : Percussion, Basson and Vocals Addamanera released their selftitled debut EP on 5th March 2001 |
